Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh 2026

Daróg owner Edel Lukács with with Clr. Aisling Burke, Deputy Mayor of Galway

Tráthnóna álainn at last night’s Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh 2026 in Galway Bay Hotel.

We were proud to be finalists in this year’s Gradam. At Daróg, we integrate An Ghaeilge into the space in a way that feels natural and true to us. We’re not fluent speakers, but the Irish language and culture are important to us, and we love to have Irish as a visible and living presence in the wine bar.

It was an honour to meet Uachtarán na hÉireann Catherine Connolly and lovely to see so many businesses from Galway’s Westend represented at this year’s Gradam.

Míle buíochas to Gearóidín, Sinéad and Bríd from Gaillimh le Gaeilge for the encouragement and support along the way. We’re proud to play a small part in promoting Galway as a bilingual city.

Comhghairdeas to all of the Gradam winners:

Micil Distillery: Tourism
Plámás: Customer Service
Galway Hooker Sailing Club: Community & Culture
Thrive with Marian: Digital
Just Art It: Retail & Overall Gradam Winners
