Daróg Named Best Wine Experience in Connaught

At the 2026 Irish Restaurant Awards, held at the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road in Dublin, Daróg was named Best Wine Experience in Connaught. The award was sponsored by Bibendum.

The Irish Restaurant Awards are now in their 17th year and celebrate the people and places shaping hospitality across the country. More than 150,000 public nominations were submitted this year through The Irish Times, with regional winners from across Ireland gathering for the All-Ireland Final alongside chefs, restaurateurs, managers and hospitality teams from every corner of the industry.

In advance of the All-Ireland final, regional awards ceremonies took place across the four provinces where county and regional winners were recognised across a wide range of categories. Those winners then progressed to the national final.

Funds were also raised throughout the evening in support of The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation, continuing the Awards’ longstanding commitment to supporting charitable causes.

To be recognised in a category focused entirely on wine means a huge amount to us.
