‘Le Chéile’ – An evening of creative conversations at Daróg Wine Bar.
Artist Talk | Wine Tasting | Pop Up Art Shop
‘Le Chéile’ means "together" in Irish — and that’s exactly what these evenings are about. They’re open to anyone looking for inspiration and meaningful connection.
Each event features an artist talk, where the exhibiting artist shares insights into their creative journey and the story behind the work currently on display at Daróg. It’s a relaxed, open space where conversation flows naturally — between artist and guests, and among fellow art appreciators.
Alongside the talk, you’ll find a guided wine tasting and a pop-up art shop, adding more ways to engage with the evening.
These gatherings are about more than just listening — they invite dialogue, curiosity, and connection. Together, we celebrate the power of art to move us, bring us closer, and shift how we see the world.

Le Chéile with Emer Whelan
Our next Le Chéile evening takes place on Monday 9th June and features Galway-based artist Emer Whelan and her powerful series Lignis. Through sculptural drawings made with salvaged wood, wax, and graphite, Emer explores the deep emotional and symbolic connection between trees and the human body. Her work evokes both resilience and fragility—strength rooted in vulnerability.
On the night, Emer will speak in conversation with owner Edel Lukács, about her creative process and the ideas behind the work, offering guests a rare glimpse into her world.
