Oyster Special at Daróg

Our Oyster Trio: Micil Poitín & lemon oil. Ponzu & yuzu dressing. Mignonette & lime

September in Galway means one thing: oysters. As the native oyster season opens, we’re marking the occasion with a weekend-only trio designed to highlight both tradition and creativity.

Our Oyster Trio

  • Micil Poitín & lemon oil

  • Ponzu & yuzu dressing

  • Mignonette & lime

Each oyster is served fresh from Galway’s waters, dressed simply to let their natural character shine while giving you three distinct ways to taste them.

This weekend coincides with the 71st Galway International Oyster & Seafood Festival (26–28 September 2025) — a celebration that brings locals and visitors together year after year. It’s the world’s longest-running oyster festival, and a reminder of how deeply rooted oyster culture is in Galway’s maritime traditions.

Whether you’re joining the festival or just looking for a quieter way to enjoy the season, our trio is a small taste of the city’s oyster heritage — on a plate.
